Bring Your Helmet,
Save Bike Lanes
This Saturday, bring and show your helmet everywhere you go
Saturday, Oct 26th
All across Ontario
#BringYourHelmet
How This Will Work
On Saturday, bring your helmet with you everywhere, even if you're not biking. Support as many small businesses in your area as possible.
Carry it in your hands, on your arm, on your head, just make sure it's visible.
The "Open for Business" Premier listens to small businesses. Let’s shop local with our helmets to show store owners that bike lanes benefit their business.
-
Show local businesses that cyclists spend money
-
Show cyclists they are supported
-
Show Doug Ford that we're not going down without a fight
FAQ
1 / Why this?
While some suggest blocking roads to protest against bike lanes, this only reinforces opposition from those who see them as disruptive.
Instead, we'll bring our helmets to grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, corner stores and a casual stroll on the sidewalk. To demonstrate the need and desire for bike lanes.
2 / How can I get involved?
1. Bring your helmet :)
2. Spread the word, share this site and tag #BringYourHelmet on social media
3. If you have other ideas and want to get in touch email hello@bringyourhelmet.ca
3 / This is big bicycle funding this right?
Nope! The domain and Wix site were purchased by myself.
4 / I support bike lanes but I don't ride often or at all, how can I get involved?
Bring a helmet anyways! It makes for a very sturdy (albeit small) carrier for groceries.
